How to Throw a Pastel Halloween Party - With Royale Ziegler

1. Create an irresistible photo op

“When I’m hosting a party, the most important element for me is design. I love a good photo moment for my guests and the pastel ombré ghost balloons are perfect for something like that. Hang yours in front of a pastel backdrop for people to pose in front of, or even go for an entire wall of floating ghosts!”

2. Make the table beautiful

“Pastels colors are an absolute dream to use as a jumping off point, and so unique for Halloween, as one rarely has an opportunity to work with a range of pastels outside of Easter. To create this whimsical tablescape I used lots of soft accents, mini witches’ hats and iridescent flowers for a touch of sparkle.”

3. Keep the menu sweet

“For this pastel themed fête I would serve piles of pink pavlova - is there anything more deliciously airy? Also, candy floss cocktails would be another obvious choice for a grown-up addition to the menu. If you can nail the sweets and cocktails, you can keep the kiddos and adults in good spirits all night long!”

4. Do an elegant dress code

“For myself I imagine wearing something with loads of blush tulle. Even my pink Monique Lhuillier wedding dress would be perfect paired with some fishnets! For kids - the iridescent sequin cape costume, sequin butterfly wings costume or pink confetti tutu and headband would be my go-to options for ghoulie — aka girlie — attire!”

5. Don’t forget the favors

“Favors are a must for any party involving children. My son lives for a surprise ball, and the spider guys are so adorable.”
