Are you a talented and creative multidisciplinary designer with a passion for illustration, textile design and crafting, and staying on top of the latest interior and fashion trends? Meri Meri is looking for a designer in our Cheltenham studio who can work within our house style while bringing fresh and unique designs to our brand. Our ideal candidate has experience in various design fields, with a strong focus on illustration, textile design and crafting.
As a designer at Meri Meri, you'll work with a team of talented creatives to design and develop our signature party ware, dress up, home decor and children's products. You'll have the opportunity to bring your unique style to our brand while staying true to our aesthetic and values.

This is a great opportunity for a student/recent graduate or for someone who just want to change career path, to get work experience in an in-house studio. The role is based in our Cheltenham studio, full time 37.5 hours. Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential for this role.

12-month full-time contract, with the potential to move into a permanent part-time role.
We are looking for a highly experienced retoucher with a strong background in e-commerce photography to join our creative studio team. You will play an important role in bringing our products to life and will require excellent quality control, a high standard of retouching, and strong communication skills. You will be confident in product photography, with experience in creative studio shoots and lighting considered a bonus.
Our studio is fast-paced and collaborative. We work closely with our design and product teams from the early stages of development, which means things can change quickly as products evolve. Alongside our regular workflow, we also support other teams with ad-hoc requests, clear communication, flexibility and a calm, organised approach are key.
You will work in a team of two and report to the Art Director. This is a full-time maternity cover position and is not suitable for entry-level candidates. You will be based in our Cheltenham studio and should be available to start as soon as possible to allow for a smooth handover with our current Photographer / Studio Traffic Manager.
Key skills
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a brand or studio environment in e-commerce photography
• Excellent knowledge of Lightroom Classic and basic knowledge of Capture One
• Strong proficiency in Photoshop CC (latest version)
• Confident using Canon cameras and studio lighting equipment
• Experience in creative studio shoots with good technical knowledge of lighting
• Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Strong organisational skills — able to manage your own deadlines, prioritise projects and maintain an overview of the product pipeline
• A team player who can also work independently and take ownership of their role
Responsibilities
• Ensure all website images are correctly exposed, colour-consistent and accurately matched to products
• Ensure all deliverables are prepared in the correct formats for e-commerce and print
• Work closely with the Studio Assistant to support all photography requirements
• Retouch both product and lifestyle photography
• Photograph e-commerce products, including cut-outs and PDP detail shots
• Organise, name and manage files accurately
• Manage your own workload and schedule
• Support ad-hoc projects, including PR and other team requests
• Communicate and attend meetings with Artwork, Product Design and Graphic Design teams
• Collate and prepare products for shoots
• Maintain good studio housekeeping, including keeping the studio, props and digital folders tidy
